November Dog Daycare
Highlights
This November our dogs will participate in Towel Roll-Up
This month, our daycare dogs will be using their noses and brains to figure out how to get some tasty treasures! We’ll be rolling up treats inside towels and creating different levels of difficulty to suit each dog’s skills. Some pups will get to enjoy an easy-peasy treasure hunt, while others will have to put on their thinking caps on and work a little harder to uncover their rewards!
This activity is packed with enrichment benefits! The dogs will use their sense of smell to discover there are hidden surprises then use their problem-solving instincts to get them. They will need focus, and determination to they figure out how to release those delicious goodies. Sniffing, nudging, pawing, and unrolling encourage natural foraging behaviours, giving their brains a workout. It’s also a great way to build confidence, encourage independent thinking, and practice patience as they work through the challenge.
EmBark Academy
is Celebrating One Year!
November 1st marks one year since EmBark Academy opened its doors, and we’re excited to celebrate this milestone with our community! It’s been a rewarding year getting to know so many wonderful dogs and their owners, building relationships, and creating a place where dogs can learn, play, and enjoy their time with us.
To thank our clients for being part of our journey, we’re offering a little extra value throughout the month of November! Purchase a 10-day daycare package and receive 1 FREE day, or purchase a 20-day package and receive 2 FREE days. The offer applies to both half-day and full-day packages.
Thank you for choosing EmBark Academy and helping make our first year such a success. We look forward to another great year together!
October Recap
Take a moment to see the fun the dogs had last month at Embark Academy! From interactive playtime to outdoor adventures, our furry friends enjoyed every paws-on moment! Check out the photos and highlights of our exciting activities.
October Enrichment
October’s enrichment brought a little fall fun with bobbing for apples! The dogs had the opportunity to grab pieces of fresh apple from the water, combining water play, sensory exploration and a healthy snack. This activity encouraged confidence, problem-solving, coordination and curiosity, while giving everyone a chance to explore at their own pace. Some dogs were enthusiastic participants, while others decided apples were gross or better enjoyed on dry land! Those less interested had other puzzle activities to keep their minds busy. After all, enrichment is about finding what works for each dog!
