April Dog Daycare Highlights

This April we Spring into Enrichment with an Easter Hunt
April brings a little Easter fun to daycare! This month our daycare dogs will enjoy a festive treat hunt, where tasty surprises are hidden around the play space for pups to discover using their powerful noses. As they search and sniff, dogs engage in natural foraging behaviour while exploring their environment and solving little scent puzzles along the way. This enrichment activity provides mental stimulation, encourages curiosity, builds confidence and adds some eggs-citing seasonal fun to their daycare day.
Puppy Group Classes Starting
Exciting news! Puppy Foundations group classes are coming soon to EmBark Academy!
Designed for puppies up to 6 months of age, this certificate course gives young dogs the best possible start while helping owners build practical, real-life training skills. Classes focus on positive reinforcement, force-free, and fear-free methods, creating a supportive environment where puppies can learn with confidence.
This program goes beyond basic obedience. It’s designed to strengthen the relationship between you and your puppy, with enrichment activities included to build engagement, confidence, and healthy development.
Classes will be small in size with a maximum of 4 puppies allowing for personalized coaching and more one-on-one support during classes.
Puppies must have their first set of vaccinations to attend.
Classes are expected to begin in April or May, with exact dates coming soon. Spaces will be limited, so stay tuned!

March Recap
Take a moment to see the fun the dogs had last month at Embark Academy! From interactive playtime to outdoor adventures, our furry friends enjoyed every paws-on moment! Check out the photos and highlights of our exciting activities.

March Enrichment
March's enrichment theme featured a ball pit experience where pups explored and discovered hidden treats and toys. The activity highlighted texture and sensory stimulation, giving dogs a chance to dig, paw and spin through the balls. Some of them were were very cautious initially but we watched them building their confidence at their own pace while others dove right in expressing pure joy as they played.
This activity encouraged curiosity, mental engagement and self-assurance letting dogs experience new sensations.

Fun Moments
Here's a few memorable moments from daycare that you won't want to miss! Whether silly, funny, majestic or just plain cute, these are some of the interesting moments we were able to capture in March.

New Friends
We always welcome some new faces in daycare! Please say hello to our newest friends.
We make sure to make each dog feels understood and we take their individual needs into account. Shy dogs get additional one-on-one snuggle time with staff, while high energy pups get some extra structured play.
