August's Activity is an Ice Sensory Activity
This month the dogs will be cooling off with a seasonal enrichment activity, Ice sensory! These frozen treats are made with ice and may include healthy additions such as dog safe fruit, veggies, or tasty treats frozen inside for your pup to discover. Ice exploration is a wonderful form of sensory enrichment, engaging your dog's sense of smell. As dogs investigate the frozen block they experience different textures, temperature, scent and flavors, creating a fun and stimulating activity that encourages natural curiosity.
This activity is a simple but highly rewarding! The dogs must figure out how to access the goodies hidden inside, encouraging independent thinking while providing a refreshing treat.
Play and Train
Give your dog the opportunity to learn while they play with our Play & Train program! This exciting add-on service was designed exclusively for dogs attending daycare! Whether you have a puppy just starting their training journey or an adult dog that could use a refresher on basic obedience, Play & Train provides focused, one-on-one learning in a fun and familiar environment. During each daycare visit, your dog receives two private 10-minute training sessions, where they work individually with a trainer away from the daycare group. We also provide video updates so you can see your dog’s progress firsthand and continue reinforcing their new skills at home. Our program offers four training tiers, along with an optional Tricks tier, allowing you to choose as much or as little training as you’d like. Owners can also request specific commands, behaviors, or training goals they would like their dog to work on. Several dogs have already benefited from the program, gaining confidence, improving obedience, and strengthening communication with their families. Our goal is to help both dogs and owners succeed through consistent, positive training. Best of all, signing up is easy, simply add Play & Train when booking your dog’s daycare visit. July Recap

July Enrichment
In July, our dogs had a blast with a water-themed enrichment activity! The challenge was to retrieve treats from a floating container in a kiddie pool, encouraging sensory play and confidence building as they explored the water. For dogs who preferred to stay dry, we offered a modified version with treats floating in a plastic container, ensuring everyone could participate at their own comfort level. It was wonderful to see the different approaches each dog took, from diving right in to carefully investigating from the sidelines.

We make sure to make each dog feels understood and we take their individual needs into account. Shy dogs get additional one-on-one snuggle time with staff, while high energy pups get some extra structured play.
