May Dog Daycare Highlights
May Enrichment is
Muffin Tin Challenge
This May at EmBark Academy, we are tapping i9nto you dog's natural foraging instincts with our Muffin Tin Puzzle Challenge! This engaging ofactory game encourages dogs to use their noses to find the hidden treats. This fun activity gives a gentle mental workout and promotes relaxation. The dogs will sharpen their problem-solving skills.
Once our clever canines solve the puzzle, we will challenge them to a layered search variation! This will require more focus and test their perseverance.
To make enrichment even sweeter, our dogs will get to enjoy fresh strawberries as a healthy and delicious snack. Packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber, strawberries are a nutritious treat that most dogs find absolutely irresistible.
Fun Fact: Strawberries are not berry's at all! With their seeds on the outside, they're known as an aggregate fruit.
Play and Train
Ready to supercharge your dog's daycare day? They already love our enrichment based daycare packed with social fun, yummy snacks and daily activities, now you can add Play and Train to make their day even more rewarding!
This one-on-one add on service gives your dog two dedicated and structured sessions with a trainer during their daycare stay.
Whether you're looking to get started on some basic training, polish your dog's manners, sharpen their focus or teach them some impressive tricks, this is a fantastic way to maximize their day with us.
We've designed our training program in progressive tiers that allows your dog to build skills sequentially starting with the basics and working their way up at their own pace. If you dog already has some training under their collar, we'll happily assess their core skills to find the best place for them to start.
Best of all, Play & Train is completely flexible! You can add on as many or as few sessions as you'd like, with no commitment to complete the full program. Visit our training page for full details, and you can sign up quickly and easily through Gingr when scheduling daycare.
April Recap
Take a moment to see the fun the dogs had last month at Embark Academy! From interactive playtime to outdoor adventures, our furry friends enjoyed every paws-on moment! Check out the photos and highlights of our exciting activities.
April Enrichment
In April, our dogs put their noses to work with a festive springtime scent and search challenge. We tucked treats into rolls and hid them in our outdoor area or inside on wet days. This encouraged them to sniff, search and problem solve,
This is beneficial because it encourages them to rely on their powerful sense of smell while building focus, perseverance and confidence. April's enrichment was a huge hit and a fantastic way to combine fun, mental stimulation, and natural canine behaviour.
Fun Moments
Here's a few memorable moments from daycare that you won't want to miss! Whether silly, funny, majestic or just plain cute, these are some of the interesting moments we were able to capture in March.
New Friends
We always welcome some new faces in daycare! Please say hello to our newest friends.
We make sure to make each dog feels understood and we take their individual needs into account. Shy dogs get additional one-on-one snuggle time with staff, while high energy pups get some extra structured play.
